Awards may be up to approximately $75,000 per recipient, coupled with a year of advisory support and participation in a collaborative fellowship. Funds are intended to help grantees design, implement, or expand student-centered programs that result in meaningful credentials or qualifications. Emphasis is placed on models that are developed in collaboration with industry partners to directly address workforce needs.


Eligible applicants include:

  • Nonprofit organizations, such as community groups or advocacy-focused entities.

  • Educational institutions or individuals, including postsecondary and K–12 innovators.

  • Small businesses, when paired with a nonprofit partner, to build tangible career pathways.


This grant is aimed at supporting programs in specific states or regions—particularly those focused on improving local workforce and education alignment. Projects should demonstrate clear objectives, measurable outcomes, and collaborative ties between education, industry, and community stakeholders. The ultimate aim is to accelerate transitions from learning to meaningful employment, especially within underserved or emerging workforce communities.
